CANADA I got to live for a two months in the neat city of Vancouver working on a TV show in 2002, and have now visited Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island (home of Anne of Green Gables) because my boyfriend is from Canada. A really cool thing is that I met him in Cambodia!
ALASKA For a long Labor Day weekend, I got to visit a river rafting friend in Denali, Alaska - and flew in a small plane over Mt. Denali (also known as Mt. McKinley). I did lots of hiking and even got to see bears and moose!
GRAND CANYON Rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon for 14 days might even be a greater achievement than writing a book. I loved it, though!
HAWAII I went to Hawaii for a few days to check out Waikiki and Honolulu for a TV show. It was warm, beautiful, and smelled fantastic. Plus, I managed to stand up on a surfboard - sort of.
